Prospect Watch: Ten Awaiting the Call's Jason A. Churchill dives into the Mariner farm system and brings up the ten prospects most primed and ready for a promotion. While several Tacoma Rainiers will get a strong look in August and September, the rest of the organization is filled with players looking for the challenge of the next level.

1. George Sherrill-(1-0, 1.66 ERA, 3 saves)-Rotting in Triple-A, despite sickening numbers in PCL.

2. Bobby Livingston-(6-0, 1.44 ERA, 48K)-Dominating California League with arm, pitching intelligence.

3. Greg Jacobs-(.346avg-5HR-23RBI)-Hopefully the M's don't him in AA as long as he sat in A ball last year.

4. Greg Dobbs-(337-3-16)-Blocked by Leone and Lopez, but is hitting his way toward Triple-A.

5. T.J. Bohn-(311-4-19)-Not much more to do with 66ers after leading league in OBP through first six weeks.

6. Bobby Madritsch-(3-0, 2.59, 41)-Might get call if M's move Gil Meche to pen.

7. Justin Leone-(248-9-16)-Power is major league ready. So is his glove.

8. Juan Gonzalez-(322-1-17-12SB)-Acquired in Guillen trade, should be up for challenge of Double-A.

9. Shin-Soo Choo-(278-5-19)-Tough streak is over, Choo back to form.

10. A.J. Zapp-(288-8-26)-Been consistent at the plate all season as big part of Rainiers lineup.

The Next Wave:
