The Lancaster JetHawks tied their second round California League playoff series with the Inland Empire 66ers with a 6-4 win on Sunday night.
Sixers right-hander Juan Sandoval gave up five earned runs on seven hits as Lancaster starter A. J. Shappi held Inland to three runs in 5.2 innings.
Gary Harris kept up his hot hitting when he led off the game with his second long ball of the postseason but the bats went somewhat silent and the series will head to San Bernardino for game three.
Lancaster took the lead with three runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back, adding a run in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings.
Jethawks right-hander Justin Wechsler pitched the final two innings, not allowing a hit and striking out four.
Monday, September 13: Inland Empire will send RHP Jon Huber to the hill versus Lancaster's RHP Peter Zamora.
