A four-run third propelled the Rafters to a 6-2 come-from-behind win over visiting Glendale. Salt River (11-10) climbs to 1 ½ back of first-place Mesa in the East Division.
Down 2-1 entering the bottom of the third, lead-off batter Kenny Wilson (TOR) lined a triple to center. James Ramsey reached on a fielding error by the Desert Dogs' first baseman that allowed Wilson to cross and knot the game at two all. After moving to second on a base-on-balls, Ramsey raced home on the first of Stephen Piscotty's two singles. A walk plus two more singles brought in Piscotty for the inning's final run.
Piscotty went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. He singled with two out in the fourth but was nabbed in an attempted steal of second for the inning's last out. Although Ramsey was hitless in four at bats, the right fielder contributed by touching home once and driving in another.
Arizona right-hander Bo Schultz scattered five hits and three base-on-balls that generated two runs in five innings for his second win in as many decisions. Lee Stoppelman was the fourth and final reliever to take the mound for the Rafters. The tall lefty faced the minimum in the ninth, recording two called strikeouts and a 4-3 ground out.
