There was no wasting time for the Binghamton Mets, to start swinging the bats and scoring runs on Tuesday night.
In their second game of their three game series against the Portland Sea Dogs, the B-Mets scored seven runs in the first two innings that lead them to a 7-1 victory.
First baseman Aderlin Rodriguez got things started for the B-Mets, with an RBI single in the first inning that gave Binghamton an early 1-0 lead.
Next batter third baseman Dustin Lawley, kept the inning with a monster two run shot to left that made it 3-0, and lead 4-0 before the Sea Dogs even batted in the bottom half of the inning.
In the second inning, the B-Mets continued are offensive onslaught on the Sea Dogs. With already a run scored in the inning, Rodriguez would hit another RBI single in the game, while Lawley would follow suite with a Sac Fly to center field that would drive in a run.
Rodriguez and Lawley, combined for 5 RBI on the night for the B-Mets, and each had two hits as well.
Second baseman Jairo Perez and left fielder Jared King, each had an RBI in the game too.
The B-Mets pitching was also dominate for them in this second game of their seven inning game double header with Portland.
Starter Jake Kuebler was outstanding for the B-Mets, pitching 4 solid innings of one hit ball against the Sea Dogs. The only thing that didn’t go Kuebler way, was that he couldn’t get the win because he only went four innings and not five.
