Michael Cuddyer Game 5 Pregame Interview

Mets outfielder talked about the state of the team after a setback on Saturday.

Michael Cuddyer hasn't made a major impact throughout the postseason, but he's hoping to inspire his teammates with a calming veteran presence in the locker room.

With Curtis Granderson and Michael Conforto swinging the bat at a torrid pace, Cuddyer's playing time has been very limited in the playoffs.

In his 15th year of MLB service, Cuddyer has finally reached the Fall Classic. In 11 postseason at-bats Cuddyer has one hit and 11 strikeouts.

Despite his on-field production slipping drastically, Cuddyer is trying to instill poise and confidence in the Mets clubhouse.

The wiley outfielder spoke about David Wright's leadership, Daniel Murphy's critical error and how the Mets will respond with their backs against the wall.
