Cyclones Fall to Auburn in 10

A 10th inning single by Doubledays left fielder Adam Lind off reliever Carlos Muniz (2-2) scored Eugenio Velez and gave Auburn a 5-4 victory extending their winning streak to ten games.<br> <br> The Cyclones were trailing 4-3 going to the top of the ninth inning, however Dante Brinkley singled to left field, for his third hit of the game, scoring Corey Coles and paved the way for the game to go to extra innings.

Corey Coles also contributed with two singles of his own, while scoring two runs as well.

Cyclones starter Will Quaglieri struggled for his second straight outing after being brilliant in his first two appearances. Quaglieri went 5 innings allowing 6 hits, 4 runs with 3 being earned, while walking 1 and striking out 3.

Edgar Alfonzo made his second straight solid appearance allowing 3 hits, and striking out 2 in his two scoreless innings of work, while Eddy Camacho was effective once again in his 1 2-3 innings of work allowing just 1 hit and walking 2.

The Cyclones (11-7) are in a three way tie for first in the McNamara Division with Aberdeen and Hudson Valley while Auburn (14-3) are in first place in the Pinckney Division and hold the leads best record.

The two teams meet again Tuesday night in the second game of the three game series which begins at 7:05pm. Michael Devaney (0-0 4.50) will go against Juan Perez (1-0 1.50).

Notes: Michael Swindell has been slotted into the rotation with Jeffrey Landing going back into relief work. Swindell is expected to start Wednesday's game at Auburn...The Cyclones fell to 1-3 in extra inning games.
