Report: Nats Ink Glenn Gibson, Stephen King

The signing of 4th round draft pick, Glenn Gibson, has already been made official by the Nationals, and according to sources close to the situation, 3rd round selection, Stephen King has also agreed to terms.

The Nationals made the signing of 4th round pick, Glenn Gibson, official on Wednesday, reporting that the southpaw would join the Gulf Coast League Nationals on Tuesday. Gibson is a native of Long Island and his father, Paul Gibson, is a former big leaguer, spending time with the Tigers, Yankees and Mets. No details have been released in regards to the terms of the agreement or when the Nats 4th rounder will make his debut in the GCL.

According to reports that have not been confirmed by the Nationals at this point, Stephen King has also agreed to terms with Washington. No terms of the contract have been disclosed as of yet, but it has been reported that the Nationals' 3rd round selection will likely make his debut sometime next week. On draft day, King was considered to be a likely first rounder, but teams passed due to concerns about an apparent leg injury. The Nationals consider him to be a legit first round talent.

The only remaining top five round draft pick that now remains unsigned is New Jersey prep right-hander, Sean Black. The word is that the 2nd round selection is seriously considering attending Seton Hall, but the Nationals also seem willing to go above slot to get the deal done.
