Going with a group of 4 to my first game at Wrigley Field.
Anybody have any suggestions on pre or post game activities ?
We're going to both Saturday and Sunday's games.
For the games, just go to Wrigleyville. It's the neighborhood around the stadium. It's the only place to be pre and post game for a sports atmosphere. Pick any bar. They are all open air (well...bit giant windows in front that open) and people are all VERY friendly.
4 years ago the O's took 2 of 3 and we didn't get any grief wearing O's gear and celebrating the wins or after the loss.
I hung out at Harry Carry's place next to the stadium. Had a blast.
The bars are interesting there. They will be empty during the game and will fill up in second as soon as the game ends.
While you're there, Midtown Chicago is northing checking out. This of all the size and glitz of New York without the obnoxious jerks everywhere.
If you get deep dish pizza while you are there don't order a lot of it. It's not what you think! It's not really thick crust. It's more like a pie with 3 inches of sauce and toppings then a cheese layer. VERY filling.
So wanted to go but I started a new gig last month and have no vacation time. Friends moved out there the wife, daughter and I had planned going to Chicago this week but work and my daughter has some things going on this week.
