Can't put it into words. Too happy. This is the best. I love every single person that contributed to this team's success, as well as the Orioles fans that suffered alongside me for all these years. All of our chips have been cashed in.
God Bless Dan Duquette, Buck Showalter, Adam Jones, and Mike Flanagan.
This is so amazing. No matter how this all goes down, I'm glad that we all got to see this happen. It's been a tough 7 years joining you guys here to commiserate and struggle through the losing (even though we have fun and always love our Birds).
But if anyone deserves this, IT IS US!!!! I'm so happy, especially for you old timers who stick with this team through everything. Also for the youngsters who, even though your friends are probably all Nationals fans, you stayed true to the O's. But for guys my age -- mid-20s to early-30s -- who've truly never witnessed greatness happening for Baltimore Baseball, cheers to you gentlemen as well! We're finally getting a chance to see this happen! Isn't this something?!?!?
I'm just in complete shock!! I can't believe the day is finally here!! I so wanted it to be when all the players were on the field, would have been great to see them all celebrate. Maybe we can give Texas some payback a little down the road for ruining that moment =)
I think the guys will be more reserved about this until they win the AL East...THEN you will see some serious celebrating....for one day! Then back to business. I still see a playoff game with the Evilest of Empires looming. I don't see the Yanks winning it outright...but I do see the O's pulling it off. Already there are quotes from the Red Sox saying they really want to spoil the Yanks season. I like that a lot.
