Low-A: Greensboro 5; Delmarva 3Game Two
L: Petrini (1-1, 4.50) The Shorebirds struggled offensively in game two of a doubleheader against Greensboro. They only hit 1-14 with runners in scoring position throughout the game. In the bottom of the second, Delmarva got things underway with a leadoff double by Kipp Shultz, an RBI single from Tyler Kelly and two-run homer by Justin Dalles, his first of the year to give the Shorebirds a 3-0 lead. Unfortunately, Delmarva could not hold onto the lead as Greensboro scored two in the third on four singles and a sacrifice fly to tie the game at 2. The game was knotted up until the top of the twelfth when Greensboro got a two run homer from Isaach Galloway to give the Grasshoppers a 5-3 lead that they would hold on to. The two teams close out the series today.
