Orioles Trade Fiorentino

The Baltimore Orioles traded outfield Jeff Fiorentino on Wendesday.

On Wednesday, the Baltimore Orioles traded outfielder Jeff Fiorentino to the Atlanta Braves. Fiorentino was with Double-A Bowie this season. He was batting .250 with two triples, two homers, 13 RBIs and three stolen bases in 20 games.

Fiorentino played 24 games with the Orioles in 2009 but spent the majority of the season in Norfolk. He hit .312 with 12 homers and 67 RBIs in 102 games.

He spent the 2010 season in the Japanese League.

Fiorentino will report to Double-A Mississippi.

In return, the Orioles received an undisclosed amount of cash.
