Keys Rally on Kolodny's Walkoff Home Run

Kolodny's walk off home run in the ninth propels Frederick to 3-1 victory

The Keys won in dramatic fashion on a walk off home run by Tyler Kolodny. The score was 1-0 until the bottom of the eighth inning when catcher Brian Ward doubled down the right field line with one out. Bobby Stevens would drive in Ward on a bloop base hit to right field to tie the game at one.

The game was tied at one going into the bottom of the ninth inning. L.J. Hoes led off the inning with a double to right field. Tyler Townsend would line out to Bo Greenwell on a fantastic catch. Kolodny walked off with a two-run home run to give the Keys the 3-1 victory.

Bobby Bundy

On his performance

"I felt great from the bullpen and forward. I was just kind of clicking. Even when I did give up that bomb I still felt that my stuff and location was fine. Just a little bit different outing today and I felt like I had something more as far as my command and pitches."

On his curveball

"Yea, I mean I really had that going today too. It is something I have been working on earlier this week and I feel like I needed to get going again. My last outing it was kind of shaky and it was also against these guys so it was almost like they really didn't see it. I was able tog et a couple strikeouts and get the ball rolling from there."

On not getting the no decision but the team getting the win

"Yea, I mean I was just telling one of my buddies that I hate losing, I don't care who is pitching. I am not selfish, I like winning. That is fine, we won. It is just a better feeling to win. I would rather win 20 games and get a no decision in any one of them just as long as we win."

Tyler Kolodny

On his walkoff home run

"It feels real good! L.J. [Hoes] did his job to lead off the inning with the double and Tyler [Townsend] smoked the ball and should have got the base hit but [Greenwell] made a great play in right field. That's all I try to do is hit the ball hard."

On Lack of offense but finally coming through to get the win

"Absolutely, our offense can strike at any time. We definitely won the game because of Bobby [Bundy] he pitched a heck of a game."

Brian Ward

On Bundy

"Absolutely, I mean to be honest Bobby didn't have grade A stuff for him but he had a great curve ball which worked out and he had a heavy fastball which broke some bats today. Bobby has been doing it for us and he has been an ace type pitcher for us. I am excited to see how he moves up in this organization."

Orlando Gomez

On the win

"Nice win, very nice win. We lost a tough game last night. Well played game last night and then the well played game today. We came in late in the game and it was nice to see that."

On Bundy

"He pitched well and threw the ball well. He had good location and threw good slider, cutter and mixed it up with his change up and it looked like he went in and out with his fastball. When he threw his curveball I thought he had a really nice curveball. He gave up that home run the second batter of the game but then he settled down and pitched well."

On Kolodny

"It was nice to see Kolodny get that big home run. He gets a good pitch and the ball had a nice carry. You have to give him credit he comes in, works hard and plays hard. He wants to get better and you have to give him credit."
