TPadres 6 - Sacramento River Cats 4
As a team this year the TPadres are hitting .301/.372/.471 so this is an offense that can put up some numbers. Last night in Sacramento 1b Kyle Blanks provided an early preview of the upcoming Fourth of July fireworks going 3-4 with a pair of home runs, a double and 4 RBIs. He's now hitting .407 in about a month's worth of time in the PCL.
RF Aaron Cunningham also continue to make a strong push for a big league recall going 2-4 with a double and an RBI and SS Everth Cabrera was 1-2 with a pair of walks, two runs scored and an RBI but also made his tenth error of the year in only 35 games.
AA San Antonio
Northwest Arkansas Naturals 4 - Missions 1
Simon Castro took his first loss since returning to the Texas League at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale Arkansas but didn't pitch too badly giving up only three earned runs in seven innings.
Offensively the Missions were held to three hits, with RF Dan Robertson doubling for the only extra-base hit. LF Jaff Decker, 1b Sawyer Carroll and CF Blake Tekotte all had rough nights going 0-4 with three strikeouts.

Visalia Rawhide 11 - Storm 1
Tough night for big Matt Lollis who gave up six earned runs in 2.2 innings. It was Lollis' fifth loss of the year and tied for his second shortest outing of the year. Since the first game of the season he has not gone more than five innings once.
Low-A Fort Wayne
West Michigan Whitecaps 4 -TinCaps 2
The TinCaps lost their third in a row as LHP Noah Mull took his second loss of the season giving up two runs in five innings.
A bright spot in Fort Wayne continues to be the play of their two young outfielders, Luis Domoromo, who was 1-4 with a walk and his sixth home run, and right fielder Rymer Liriano who was 2-5 tonight with a double.
Emeralds 10 - Vancouver Canadians 8
The Emeralds won their eleventh in a row and are now 14 and 2 and are rolling through the Northwest League.
2011 first round draft pick 2b Cory Spangenburg continues to be the star of the team going 2-5 with a double and an RBI but the stars of tonight's game were RF Mike Gallic, an 18th round pick this year out of Marist and LF Mykal Stokes of Orange Coast College who was taken by the Padres in the 2010 draft.
Gallic who is regarded as having some pretty good potential showed some of it on Saturday going 4 for 5 with a double. Stokes was even better going 4 for 6 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs.
The only downside of the evening was RHP John Barbato, one of the more heralded Padres' prospects in Eugene this year, only lasting one and two-thirds innings as he gave up three earned runs, four hits and two walks.
AZL Padres 8 - AZL Athletics 3
Big day by SS Felipe Blanco going 3 for 3 with a home run and 5 RBIs which made up for his fourth error in eight games. Australia's Corey Adamson was in left field and went 2-4 with a double and an RBI.
Nice start by 2007 first round pick big left-hander Nick Schmidt who went five innings giving up four hits and two earned runs in his second start of the year.
