Padres Playoff Farm Report - September 17

With a 2-0 series lead the Storm went to sweep in Stockton on Saturday night and for awhile it looked like they had a chance.

However as the scoreboard indicates, it didn't really work out that way.

Starter Andrew Werner, after holding the Ports scoreless for the first five innings, allowed a double to open the sixth inning.

He got the next batter to line out but a throwing error by 2b Jonathan Galvez advanced the runner to third.

A single by the following hitter tied the game but the real problems, well real problems at that point in the game, came when he was replaced by RHP Jeremy McBryde who then gave up a three run home run after getting the first batter.

Unfortunately for the Storm the real tidal wave came in the seventh as Stockton put up eleven runs as the Storm pitchers walked five, hit one batter and allowed a grand slam.

Defensively the Storm played a subpar game with four fielding errors.

The series now stands at two games to one in a best of five format.
