MadFriars' Daily Farm Report: May 21

The Storm manage to blow a save on three separate occasions as they ultimately fall in a marathon against Stockton. Richard makes his final rehab start in Omaha but it was a tenth inning bases loaded walk that made the difference in a T-Pad win.

Tucson Padres 5 – Omaha Storm Chasers 2 (10 innings)

Prospect Watch: Clayton Richard made his final "rehab" start allowing 2 runs in six plus innings. Richard had only allowed three baserunners through the first five innings before running into trouble in the sixth. He got out of the jam getting a double play to end the inning. He allowed a lead-off single in the seventh before being removed for Tommy Layne who proceeded to let the second run in. Richard induced 12 groundball outs in his six innings.

Prospect Watch: The Storm twice took the lead in extra innings just to have Stockton tie it in the bottom half of the inning. Ports finally win on a game winning homerun in the 17th. C Robert Kral now leads the club in homeruns with nine as his two run shot capped a six run third inning… SS Jace Peterson had his first four hit game of the year.
