Maybin hits an extra-inning home run and the Storm stay undefeated in June.

Tucson Padres 5 – Reno Aces 4 (10 innings)

Key Statistics CF Cameron Maybin 3-6 HR (3), RBI, SB (1); SS Logan Forsythe 0-3, 3 BB, 3 K; 1B Brandon Allen 3-5, 2 2B, 2 RS.

Prospect Watch:Cameron Maybin gave the T-Pads a much needed sweep with a home run in the tenth inning. The center fielder played back-to-back games and with his three hit performance, raised his Triple-A batting average to .323… Six different Padres had multi-hit games including Dean Anna, Dan Robertson, Maybin, Mike Wilson, Gregorio Petit and Brandon Allen… Brad Brach allowed two runs in 1.1 innings to raise his PCL ERA to 9. Since being sent down, he's pitched eight innings, given up eight earned runs on 12 hits; including three homers and three walks with seven strikeouts.

San Antonio Missions 2 – Frisco RoughRiders 1

Key Statistics RHP Matt Wisler 6 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 4 K; CF Rico Noel 2-3, RBI, BB, SB (33); RHP Kevin Quackenbush 1 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K (S, 11, 0.34 ERA).

Prospect Watch: Matt Wisler continued his fluctuations in the Texas League. Wisler has now gone good start, bad start, good start, bad start, good start in his five Texas League starts. Luckily for the Missions, today was the good start. Wisler was able to spot his pitches and had a 7:6 GO/FO ratio... Rico Noel continued to raise his Texas League stolen base lead with his 33rd of the year.

Visalia Rawhide 5 – Lake Elsinore Storm 7

Key Statistics LHP Frank Garces 5.2 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 10 K (W, 5-4, 4.38 ERA); CF Travis Jankowski 2-5, 3B, 2 RS, RBI, SB (36); C Austin Hedges 1-3, 2B, 2 RS, BB (2 SB, 2 CS); 1B Kral 2-3, RBI, BB.

Prospect Watch: Garces hit double digit strikeouts for the first time this year as he helped lead the Storm to their sixth consecutive win. The start was a nice rebound after he lasted just 0.2 innings his last start. While his ERA is not spectacular he has given up more than three earned runs in just one start, and boasts a great 10.72 K/9… After criticizing Jankowski yesterday for his lack of slugging percentage, Travis hit his first extra-base hit in two weeks with a line drive triple. He has now had three straight multi-hit games and four straight games with stolen bases.
