Game 2: Colorado Springs SkySox 4 – Tucson Padres 5
Prospect Watch: Tucson Padres swept a double- header despite not having a true starter in either game. Prior to today's game, Dan Robertson had been hitting .180 over the last two weeks with zero extra base hits. The one saving grace for Robertson is that he still makes excellent contact, striking out only 39 times in 73 games this season… Kevin Quackenbush has allowed at least one earned run in three of his five AAA outings.

Prospect Watch: A great start by Matt Wisler was ruined when Matt Lollis could not hold the lead in the ninth. Wisler's eight strikeouts was a season high and it was the third time in nine starts that he did not walk a batter.
Prospect Watch: Travis Jankowski hit his first home-run of the year, and his second in his minor league career. While the outstanding defensive centerfielder is not known for his power, his slugging percentage has gone up over 200 points in the last month (.270 SLG in May, .494 in June).

Prospect Watch: Scary moment early in the game. TinCaps CF Alberth Martinez was wheeled out of the game after being hit in the cheek by a pitch. No word yet on his condition… After struggling early in the year Zach Eflin has come into his own. Eflin has allowed two or fewer runs in each of his last ten starts, going 4-2 with a 2.33 ERA.
For further reading on the TinCaps' please see the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette.
Prospect Watch: Kelly, a supplemental first round pick in 2011, made his debut in Eugene. He has great stuff, the problem is with his command. He was 2-1 with a 5.00 ERA in Fort Wayne.
