Rocky Gale has the big blast in San Antonio. The Storm put together a solid win and Hunter Renfroe leads the Emeralds to their third straight win.

Prospect Watch: Dean Anna hit his 29th double of the year, his 41st extra-base hit of the season. Anna is now hitting .334/.416/.513 and has only made seven errors in 91 games at four positions. I think its time to give him a shot...Andriese had his first rough outing in the PCL but then again pitching in Las Vegas makes Tucson look like PETCO.

Missions 5 - Midland Rockhounds 4

Prospect Watch: Rocky Gale hit his third career home run in the bottom of the ninth to send the Missions home with the victory in San Antonio and the series win. Reliever Jeff Ibarra gave up four earned runs in the eighth inning before Gale's game winning blast...Nice bounce back effort by Juan Oramas after giving up eight earned runs in his previous start...Relief pitcher Jeremy McBryde has some nice numbers in the Alamo City this season 2.21 ERA in 40.2 innings with a 52/12 K/BB ratio.

Prospect Watch: A.J. Kirby Jones had the big blast in the eighth inning with a three-run home run to put the Storm ahead for good at the Diamond...Jeremy Baltz has slowed down some but is still hitting .318/.381/.477...Johnny Barbato has been moved out of the closer's role but may be more valuable to the organization in his current role as a reliever that can throw multiple innings. This year he has thrown 50.1 innings with 62 strikeouts against only twelve walks. All four of his last outings have been more than two innings.

Prospect Watch Bryan Rodriguez had his roughest outing of the year as the TinCpas could only plate a single run on Saturday night...Stubblefield, who was re-signed by the organization is making the most of his second chances hitting .280/.321/.467 in 20 games...Tonight the TinCaps were missing their two best hitters in Chris Burke, .326/.384/.471, and Gabriel Quintana, .307/.328/.460.

Prospect Watch Hunter Renfroe is really making an impact. Since he joined the Emeralds on Thursday Eugene hasn't loss. Tonight he hit his first professional home run, a two-run shot in the eighth...Tayron Guerrero, the six-foot-seven inch monster from Columbia, had his third solid outing in getting the win. In 10.2 innings he has only given up three hits but needs to work on his command with a 8/6 K/BB ratio.
