MadFriars' Daily Farm Report: July 30

One month after being hit in the face by a pitch, Alberth Martinez made his triumphant return for the TinCaps. Elsewhere, Sampson does it again

Salt Lake Bees 3 – Tucson Padres 0

Key Statistics RHP Anthony Bass 6 IP, 8 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 K; RF Jaff Decker 2-4, 2B, 2 K; 2B Dean Anna 1-4

Prospect Watch: Anthony Bass had his first quality start since July 1st as he held the Bees to only one run over six innings. His only run allowed came on a solo homerun. The other innings were not clean, but Bass was able to continually work out of jams to keep the team in the game.

San Antonio Missions 4 – Corpus Christi Hooks 1

Key Statistics RHP Keyvius Sampson 6 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K (W, 9-4, 2.43 ERA); 1B Tommy Medica 2-3, 2B, RS, RBI, 2 BB; RF Yeison Asencio 1-3, 2 RBI, 2B, BB

Prospect Watch: Lets just keep writing the same thing everytime Sampson pitches. Sampson won his seventh game in a row, has seven quality starts in his last eight, and has now lowered opponents' batting average to a stellar .201.

Prospect Watch: Not much to say prospect wise. Austin Hedges went 0-3 with a hit by pitch. He did steal a base but also allowed two stolen bases (0 caught stealing). Jace Peterson did not play.

. Fort Wayne TinCaps 9 – Lake County Captains 10

Prospect Watch: Welcome back Alberth Martinez. Just over a month after being hit in the face with a ball, Martinez gets reinstated from the DL and immediately makes the start. He picked up where he left off with a multi-hit game. On the year the 22-year-old is hitting .273/.354/.473 and leads the club with eight triples.

. Eugene Emeralds 0– Vancouver Canadiens 8

Key Stats: LHP Erik Cabrera 4 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 4 K; RF Hunter Renfroe 0-4, 3K

Prospect Watch: Ems broadcasters seem to think this will be Renfroe's last home game with Eugene as they are headed out on the road before the All Star Break next week. If that is the case Renfroe left the Ems with a sour taste in their mouth.
