Prospect Watch: Burch Smith can be as dominant as they come, but he still has problems with the "one bad pitch." Smith set a single season best with nine strikeouts in only five innings, but two bad fastballs left up in the zone, resulted in three earned runs allowed. Smith is getting better at the number of bad fastballs left up in the zone but he will not reach his potential until that number goes down further.

Prospect Watch: The good news… Max Fried walked only half as much as he did in his last outing. The bad news… he also struck out a third of what he did in his last start. Fried continues to struggle with his location walking 13 in his last 21 innings. The good news might be he is holding lefties to a stellar .173 BAA.

Prospect Watch: Got to hand it to Donavan Tate. He might not be hitting like the top prospect everyone hoped he'd be, but at least he hasn't embarrassed himself. After starting the year 1-12, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts, Tate has hit .368/.520/.526 with 6 walks, 4 strikeouts, and 3 stolen bases.
