Prospect Watch: In Jason Lane's first three starts he allowed a combined three runs. In start number four he allowed five. The sad thing is, outside of a pair of two-out, two-run home runs, Lane was once again fantastic. Two mistakes was all that mattered as Lane was saddled with his first loss of the year… Daniel Robertson picked up two hits, giving him seven hits in four games.

Missions 0 – Frisco RoughRiders 6
Prospect Watch: Not a very pretty game for the Missions. The only run scoring chance they had came after a one out double by Hagerty which put runners on second and third. Unfortunately yesterdays hitting star, Austin Hedges struck out as did Kyle Gaedale to end the inning. The positives, Jason Hagerty now has six hits in four games with three walks and only one strike out… In 7.2 innings Jerry Sullivan has allowed only one run on four hits while striking out 11.
Storm 5 – Stockton Ports 0
Prospect Watch: Last week MadFriars' posted an article on Colin Rea, stating that he needs to have the results catch up to his talent. Tonight might have been that night. Rea had all of his pitches working. It more than doubled his highest strike out game of the year, which was four, while walking fewer hitters and allowing fewer hits all while pitching deeper into a game than he has all year. Rea wasn't perfect, allowing three extra- base hits, but when you see the speed and movement of his pitches, you can understand why management is still so high on him.

TinCaps 4 – Great Lakes Loons 6
Prospect Watch: Fernando Perez won the MWL player of the week award. He went 1-4 today with a run scored. Over the last week he has a line of .405/.422/.595. On the year he is hitting over .300 against both left handers and right handers… While Jose Urena is still batting an unimpressive .208/.276/.415 line, he is now riding a six-game hitting streak, and has reach base safely in 9 of the last 10 games.
