Prospect Watch: Jason Lane gave up solo home runs in the first and fourth innings before six earned runs in the fifth inning sent him and the Chihuahuas down on the road in Fresno...The only good news was that Carlos Quentin got his first home run last night and his first multi-hit game since beginning his rehab assignment.

Prospect Watch:The Storm plated five runs in the first inning and added one in the fourth as they held onto to win despite their closer giving up a two-run home run in the ninth...Rehab night continued throughout the system as Chase Headley also had a multi-hit night...So far Corey Adamson is having a nice year in the Cal League with a .271/.366/.448 line. The only negative is that he is only five for ten in stolen bases...Hunter Renfroe has not struck out in the last three games, which is good considering that he has 46 punch-outs in 35 games...A rare rough inning for closer Trevor Gott. The two-run home run that he gave up were the first earned runs he has allowed since April 23. Gott leads the organization in saves with ten and has 15 strikeouts in 15.2 innings against only five walks.

Prospect Watch: Despite starter Adrian De Horta giving up a season high six walks the TinCaps were able to play error free baseball, generate enough offense to take a victory on the road...Fernando Perez continues his punishment of Midwest League pitching and is now hitting .333/.356/.516 and is leading the team with 15 extra-base hits. Stat heads are going to point out that he has a grand total of four walks in 130 plate appearances, which is relevant, but still, production is production as he also leads the team in RBI with 25...1B Jake Bauers is leading the team in batting average at .375 and had his fifth multi-hit game of the season...At six-foot-seven Tayron Guerrero is an imposing presences out of the pen. This year he has 23 strikeouts in 17.2 innings against just 10 hits and eight walks to go along with a 1.53 ERA.
