Both El Paso and San Antonio lose in close games but the Storm and TinCaps both rally late to get the win.

Reno Aces 6 - Chihuahuas 4

Prospect Watch:Reno is one of the many "interesting" parks to pitch in for the PCL but the Chihuahuas made a game of it in the ninth inning with a late two-run home run by Travis Buck but it wasn't enough as they lost their third game in four tries...Keyvius Sampson made his first relief appearance this year as the Padres may look to move him from a starter's role...Right now its hard to not see some team taking a flyer on Jeff Francoeur who hit a home run for his third straight day. Francoeur contract allows him to leave if an opening appears on a major league roster...After allowing only one earned run in his previous two starts, Matt Wisler gave up four earned runs in five innings.

Corpus Christi Hooks 3 - Missions 2 13 innings

Prospect Watch:Jerry Sullivan gave up a lead-off double in the bottom of the thirteenth which was followed up by a walk-off single at the hometown Hooks beat the Missions in 13...First time that James Needy has given up more than one earned run in five starts...Adys Portillo has given up a grand total of two earned runs since April 27.

Storm 9 - Inland Empire 66ers 4

Prospect Watch:The Storm won their fourth straight breaking open a tie game with five runs in the eighth inning as they won their fourth straight...Eflin gave up three of his four earned runs on a pair of home runs. It was his second straight start where he gave up four or more earned runs...Diego Goris, 23, is now hitting .340/.359/.562 in 242 plate appearances. It's starting to look like this is more than a hot streak...The Storm getting big production from bats like Goris and Hunter Renfroe has certainly played a big role in their success but they have also gotten great performances out of a very strong middle relief in Brandon Alger and Adam Cimber. Alger has a 2.51 ERA in 32.1 innings and Cimber is even better with a 4-0 record and 1.99 ERA. in 31.2 innings.

TinCaps 10 - Bowling Green Hot Rods 6

Prospect Watch:The Hot Rods tied it in the seventh but the visiting TinCaps came up with a four run ninth inning as they won their second straight game by scoring in double digits...Perez was hitless but walked twice in a game for the first time all year...This was the sixth time this season that Bauers had three hits in a game and for the second day in a row had a stolen base after previously not having stolen one since May 19...Luis Tejada has raised his batting average over 100 points since May 18 to where it is now at .269. The rangy Dominican is now playing the corner outfield spots in addition to first base.
