In the top of the tenth Brooks Conrad hit his sixteenth home run of the year before Dennis O'Grady gave up a pair of runs to give Omaha the win...Although Conrad has 16 home runs, which is second overall in the organization, he is hitting .174 in June. Still, he can play three infield positions and is crushing left-handed pitching with a .327/.406/.709 slash line...After a tough debut Matt Wisler has begun putting up more familiar numbers this month with a 3-1 record and 3.70 ERA. His K/BB ratio is still a little high at 14/9 but then again he also doesn't turn 22 until September.

Prospect WatchThe AZL Padres got their first win of the season after dropping their first two on Sunday night...One big advantage of how the new draft rules that were enacted in 2012 benefit everyone is high school players get some exposure to the pro game until holding out until mid-August. The Padres had two of their top picks second rounder Michael Gettys and sixth rounder Zach Risedorf in action. Gettys struck out three times looking in four plate appearances and reached base the other time on a throwing error...Nice start by 2013 third round Jordan Paroubeck, who should also see some time in center this season as well.
