Prospect Watch:Donn Roach had an unusual line of walking six and having no strikeouts but the groundball machine still only gave up a pair of runs in a very hitter friendly park...Jonathan Galvez may be putting himself in position for his first call-up he is hitting .309/.382/.489...Tyler Greene could also be an interesting option at middle infield .318/.368/.463...Again, and I know this sounds like a broken record, Hector Ambriz is pitching very well in the PCL with a 27/4 K/BB ratio and a 2.54 ERA in 39 innings.

Lancaster Jethawks 13 - Storm 5
Prospect Watch:Coby Cowgil had a tough time in his second Cal League giving up five runs but three errors also didn't help his cause...Phillips now has 10 extra-base hits in his first 18 games...Diego Goris, 23, has turned into quite a find by the Padres' organization. In 71 games he is hitting .321/.345/.524 with 11 home runs.

TinCaps 3- South Bend Silver Hawks 1 12 innings
Prospect WatchWith the game tied at one all in the top of the twelfth inning catcher Ryan Miller homered to left field to break the tie. The TinCaps added one more and Tony Rizzotti shut down the home town Silver Hawks in the bottom of the inning for the win...Miller leads the TinCaps in home runs with eight. A fourteenth round pick from last year's draft, he was considered a raw but athletic player that a team should be taking a flyer on in that part of the draft. With Dane Phillips in Lake Elsinore he is getting a chance to catch everyday...With two more walks today leadoff man Ronnie Richardson pushed his OBP to .438.

Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 5 - Emeralds 4 14 innings

Prospect WatchWith the game deadlocked at four in the fourth inning no team scored until the fourteenth inning, the second fourteen inning game in the organization, and again the Padres' team came out on the losing end...Franchy Cordero has now hit in six straight games and seems to be much more relaxed offensively than in Fort Wayne. The negative is the throwing errors are still there with five in seven games...OF/1B Marcus Davis is leading the team in total bases with 21 and a .262/.415/.500 slash line.

AZL Brewers 5- AZL Padres 3 11 innings
Prospect WatchThe AZL Padres lost the last of the organizations‘ four extra-inning games in the eleventh...After many questions about how well he could hit CF Michael Gettys is answering his critics. It's only seven games, but Gettys is showing some plate discipline with a 6/9 BB/K ratio and seven hits and five RBI in his first seven games.
