MadFriars' Daily Farm Report July 1

Biggest news of the day was the announcement that Max Fried will, finally, pitch in the AZL this weekend. But today it was another re-habbing pitcher who made a start in Peoria.

El Paso was rained out.

The Missions had the day off.

For further reading on the San Antonio Missions, see the San Antonio Express-News.

For further reading on the Storm please see the Southwest Riverside News Network.

Dayton Dragons 7 - TinCaps 0

Key Statistics: 3B Dustin Peterson 3-4; CF Henry Charles 1-4, 3B; RHP Josh Richardson 3 IP, 2 H, 2 Ks.

For further reading on the TinCaps, see the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette.

Emeralds 5 - Spokane Indians 7

Key Statistics: DH Trea Turner 1-3, BB; C Miguel Del Castillo 2-4, 2B, RS, 2 RBI; 3B Felipe Blanco 2-4, 2B; RBI; RHP Logan Jernigan 3 IP, H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 2 K; RHP Bryan Verbitsky 1.2 IP, H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 4 Ks.

Prospect Watch Cory Spangenberg will more than likely end his rehab assignment with an 0-5 performance. He is hitless in his last eight at-bats and is hitting .200 in his six games in Eugene. The announcement that Spangenberg was going back to San Antonio was made a few days ago, so it will remain to be seen if a couple hitless nights is enough to keep him in Eugene for a few more days.

For further reading on the Emeralds, see the Eugene Register-Guard.
