Wonder if the guys were aware that he likes to throw an occasional change-up?

Midland 66ers 3 - San Antonio 2
Prospect Watch:For the second night in a row the Missions were on the wrong side of a 3-2 score. RHP Eric Yardley, who was recently called up from Low-A Fort Wayne, entered the game in the seventh inning with the Missions down 2-1 and struck out the side. So far, so good. The problem was in the eighth inning, after getting the first batter to ground out to second, he walked the next three and hit the fourth batter to make the game 3-1 without Midland ever hitting the ball. The Missions were able to put a run on the board in the ninth, but it ended up being short by a run...RHP Justin Hancock looked good in his second straight outing and still has yet to allow a run in six innings since coming back from the disabled list...Blast from the Past Midland saw an appearance by Jeremy Barfield, the brother of former Padres’ uber-prospect 2B Josh Barfield. The A’s attempted to convert Jeremy into a pitcher after six years in the organization as a position player. After pitching 35 innings at High-A Stockton they returned him to the outfield in AA.

TinCaps 6 - South Bend Silver Hawks 1
Key Statistics:CF Ronnie Richardson 1-3, RBI, BB; 1B Jake Bauers 1-3, RBI, BB; RF Nick Schulz 2-3, BB; RHP Kyle Lloyd 6.0 IP 5 H R ER BB 13 Ks HR; LF Henry Charles 1-4, HR (3), 2 RBI; RHP Jason Jester 0.2 IP H BB; RHP Ryan Butler 2.1 IP 3 Ks.
Prospect WatchAfter dropping 13 straight the TinCaps finally ended their streak on what arguably may have been the best pitching performance of the season. Kyle Lloyd, who has been Fort Wayne’s best starter this year, struck out 13 batters in six innings. After giving up a solo home run in the first inning, the big man, six-feet-four, 225 lbs. from the University of Evansville, held the opposition scoreless for the next five frames before being replaced by 2014 draftees Jason Jester and Ryan Butler, who also blanked the Silver Hawks. Of South Bend’s 27 outs, 16 were by strikeouts...Offensively the TinCaps put three on the board in the first inning taking advantage of a pair of errors by South Bend and Henry Charles had a big two-run home run in the fourth inning to add on...The 13 game losing streak by Fort Wayne was a franchise record and two short of the league record.

Emeralds 5 - Boise Hawks 2
Prospect WatchMarcus Davis had the best night of his young career as the Ems broke their two game losing streak with a win at home against Boise. Davis is now third in the league in batting average at .348, second in home runs with seven and first in slugging percentage at .685 along with a few other offensive categories - but when you are hitting .348/.468/.685 you are bound to be on top of the league in quite a few categories..After a bad outing where he gave up three earned runs in two-thirds of an inning Zech Lemond, the Padres’ 2014 third round pick out of Rice, bounced back with his longest outing of the year and got his first professional victory.

AZL Mariners 7 - AZL Padres 6
Prospect WatchComing out of the draft second round pick Michael Gettys had quite a few questions about his plate discipline and although he is second on the club with 25 strikeouts in 18 games, he also has 11 walks to lead the team...Sixth round pick Zach Risedorf has been struggling with a .172/.226/.172 slash line in his first 11 games as a pro with only five hits in 31 plate appearances.
