Key Statistics: RHP Andrew Cashner 2.2 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, BB, 3 Ks; RHP Keyvius Sampson IP, 2 H, 4 ER, 3 BB; SS Tyler Greene 1-4, HR (7), RBI; RF Yeison Asencio 3-4, 2B, HR, RBI; C Adam Moore 1-4, HR (11), RBI.
Prospect Watch Jace Peterson was removed from the game after one at bat. Guess who is being promoted again? Asencio is five for his first six in AAA, making Liriano look like a chump… Cashner was on a 60 pitch count (63 pitches 37 strikes), and lasted only 2.2 innings surrendering two home runs. Definitely not the performance that’s going to remind San Diego fans that their ace is close to returning.

Game 2: San Antonio Missions 0 – Arkansas Travelers 3 (9 innings)
Prospect Watch Not much talk about Diego Goris since his promotion but that is partly due to hitting .253/.268/.405 on a team that has Spangenberg, Renfroe, Ross (now on DL), Dickerson, Hedges, Hagerty, etc… well you get the point. While his stats have not been the eye popping line he had in Lake Elsinore, they still are solid enough to continue to be the everyday starter at shortstop in San Antonio. One concern though might be the 15 walks in 109 games this season, and just one coming since his promotion (20 games ago).
Storm 6– Inland Empire 66ers 8
Prospect Watch Make it three doubles in four games for Jose Rondon, maybe he does have some power… Another two hits raised Dane Phillips batting average back over .300. On the season he has an .850 OPS.

TinCaps 2– Lansing Lugnuts 3
Prospect Watch Game winning run scores on a wild pitch by Eric Yardley… 27 games in and Trea Turner is still hitting .434/.500/.637. 130 at bats in Fort Wayne isn’t really a small sample size anymore… Dustin Peterson still leads the club and organization with 77 RBI but even with this 3 game hitting streak he is still just hitting .205/.220/.275 over his last 35 games.

Ems 1 – Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 2
Key Statistics: RHP Michael Kelly 6 IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 6 Ks; CF Austin Bousfield 2-4, 2B; 3B Nick Vitter 2-3, 2B, RS.
Prospect Watch The Ems go from one struggling 2012 top draft pick (Weickel) to a slightly more successful 2012 top draft pick Michael Kelly is finally having the year many were hoping he would have had two years ago. His six innings ties a career high, while his six strikeouts were one shy of his career high. Over his last two starts Kelly has a line of 11 IP, 6 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 10 K.

AZL Padres 5 – AZL Dodgers 4
Prospect Watch The Michael Gettys show. Gettys hit more home runs today, than he did in his first 40 professional games. His 4 RBI and 8 bases are a new career high.
