Storm Lose 4-0

LAKE ELSINORE - On one of the few days where there was actually a chance of a rainout the Storm were shutout by the Oakland A’s affiliate the Stockton Ports, owners of the best record in the Cal League.

Sidewinder Adam Cimber, who made his first start of the year, came into the game with a 2.75 ERA in 68.2 innings all in relief. The former University of San Francisco Don gave the Storm two and two-thirds innings in a spot start before allowing a third inning two out two-run home run to first baseman Matt Olson, who leads the league with 36.

All in all it was a dismal night for Lake Elsinore as they were held to only four hits, with Mallex Smith’s triple being the lone extra-base hit. Throw in three errors in the field, right fielder Luis Domoromo striking out four times in four at-bats for the “golden sombrero” and its better to think about tomorrow.
