Prospect Watch:The Storm’s season came to a close with a two game sweep by Inland Empire in 13 long innings on Thursday night...Both teams were tied at three runs each when Lake Elsinore looked like they had a chance to get the win on Alberth Martiniez’s RBI single in the top of the thirteenth. After getting the first out, Genison Reyes gave up a single followed by a pair of walks and then compounded the situation by making a throwing error to score the tying run. He then gave up a single for the game and the season...A good game by Baltz who will have to battle for an everyday outfield spot in AA San Antonio next year. He had a strong last month and should be the favorite...Another strong start by Elliot Morris, who has been very good since coming over in the Huston Street trade. Morris along with Zach Eflin and Colin Rea should be a big part of a strong pitching staff for the Missions next year.

Prospect Watch:The TinCaps won a tight one on Wednesday and lost a tight one on Thursday. Fort Wayne was held to seven hits, all singles...Cody Hebner rebounded from a tough last start to deliver a good one to keep his team in the game with eight strikeouts in five innings...3B Fernando Perez, who led the team in home runs this year and has been one of the better players down the stretch, went out of the game after being hit on the left wrist. He should be a game time decision...For the deciding game tonight Fort Wayne will send RHP Kyle Lloyd, who led the organization and the league in strikeouts, for a winner take all game on the road....Finally, Chris Goff of the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette does a great job covering the team and you can follow his work on the link below.
