Key Statistics: LHP Robbie Erlin 6 IP, 5 H, ER, BB, 5 K (W, 2-1); RF Rymer Liriano 2-4, 3B, RS, RBI, BB; CF Abraham Almonte 2-5, HR (2), 2 RS, 3 RBI; 1B Tommy Medica 3-5, 2B, 2 RS; C Austin Hedges 1-4, 2B, 2 RBI.
Prospect Watch After giving up six runs in his first AAA start, Erlin had by far his best outing. In fact, it was the first time since May 27th, 2013, that Erlin went six plus innings allowing one run or less. He was able to pound the zone constantly seeing hitters off balance… Despite only hitting .250/.321/.354 Rymer Liriano has a nine game hit streak, which is the best on the club… Not to be outdone too much Tommy Medica collected another three hits (seven game hit streak) and is currently hitting .340/.340/.453 on the season.

Missions 2 – Springfield Cardinals 3 (10 innings)
Prospect Watch As Padres' announcer Mark Grant would say, “Colin Rea is some kinda nice!” 21 IP, 15 H, 2 ER, 16 K. Despite that his record is 0-1… On the other end of the spectrum Hunter Renfroe is having a tough start to the season. Renfroe went 1-5 today with a pair of strikeouts and a double play. On the year Renfroe has five multi strikeout games, compared to only six hits.
Storm 3 – High Desert Mavericks 4 (11 innings)
Key Statistics: RHP Ronald Herrera 5 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 3 K; RHP Luis Hernandez (L,0-2) 0.0 IP 2 H R BB; SS Jose Rondon 2-5, 2B, RS; 2B Fernando Perez 2-5, 2B, 2 RBI; 1B Marcus Davis 1-5, HR (2), RBI.
Prospect Watch Two stats explain the Storm’s futility. They are 1-13 with runners in scoring position, and 15 strikeouts on the game. Six of the nine Storm players had a multi-strikeout game. Someone who didn’t strikeout was Jose Rondon, who has reached base safely in every game this season. His .381 batting average is not only tops on the team but is sixth in the league. He is also third in the league in on base percentage at .453.

Tin Caps 1 – Lansing Lugnuts 8
Prospect Watch John wanted it pointed out that the TinCaps commited three errors on the day, and none of them were by Franchy Cordero. In fact he actually looked good in the field making a few nice plays. Speaking of nice throws, Michael Gettys made one heck of a throw nailing a runner at the plate.
