Prospect Watch 22-year-old Dinelson Lamet was rolling along, allowing just one hit with eight strikeouts through four innings. After that, everything fell apart as he tried to stretch out to five innings for the first time. Lamet got roughed up in his last frame, allowing five earned runs. Still, Lamet has shown electric stuff this season for Fort Wayne, using a mid-90s fastball and a hard slider. In 20.1 innings, Lamet has a 3.54 ERA, with 35 strikeouts. Opposing hitters are hitting just .129 against the righty. The chink in the armor has been walks, as he has allowed 16 free passes. Still, he will be a name to watch on a staff that has struggled mightily.
