Round Rock Express 8 - Chihuahuas 6
Key Statistics:CF Melvin Upton, Jr. 0-4; LF Alex Dickerson 2-4, 2B; SS Ramiro Pena 3-4; 3B Brett Wallace 1-4, RBI, BB; C Rocky Gale 2-4; RHP Zack Segovia 6.0 IP 4 H 2 K; RHP Eury De La Rosa (BS, 1, L, 2-1) 0.1 IP 3 H 4 R ER.
Prospect Watch:On the penultimate game before the end of their ten game road trip, the Chihuahuas lost it in the seventh inning when the Express plated eight runs after El Paso posted a 2-0 lead. A pair of fielding errors by 1B Tommy Medica and LF Alex Dickerson with two outs allowed six unearned runs. El Paso came back in the top of the ninth with four runs of their own but it was not enough as they fell to 24-22 on the season...2B Casey McElroy made his AAA and was 0-3 with a strikeout. Expect McElroy to see much more time at second base in AAA than third where he had the majority of his playing time in San Antonio....CF Melvin Upton is hitting .190/.227/.286. Right now he seems to be swinging at everything because he has only seven strikeouts and a single walk in 22 plate appearances.

Arkansas Travelers 5 - Missions 4
Prospect Watch:Despite the Missions putting up three runs in the first inning, the Travelers tied the game up in the bottom of the inning and went ahead for good in the second when they scored two more. The Missions scored one more in the fourth, benefitting from two errors by Arkansas but it was not enough to prevent their fifth loss in six games...TinCaps’ 3B Duanel Jones should be joining San Antonio today or tomorrow. Jones, a prospect that was considered to have all the tools, struggled the past two years in High-A Lake Elsinore before finding his groove this season in Fort Wayne. How well he adjusts to AA pitching will be interesting...Trea Turner has now hit in 13 straight games...Elliot Morris’ walk rate has been up slightly this year. He now has a 46/25 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 48.1 innings.
Storm 12 - Inland Empire 66ers
Key Statistics:1B Yonder Alonso 1-3, BB; 1B Marcus Davis 1-2, RBI; RF Nick Schulz 0-3, 2 BB; 3B Gabriel Quintana 2-5, HR (4), 2 RBI; C Ryan Miller 2-5, 2 2B; DH Kyle Gaedele 2-3, 3B, 2 RBI, 2 BB; LF/CF Donavan Tate 3-5, 2B; 3 RBI; RHP Rafael De Paula 5.0 IP 6 H 2 R 2 ER 4 BB 3 K; RHP Samuel Holland (BS, 2) (W,2-0) 0.2 H 2 BB.
Prospect Watch:In a game only a true Cal League aficionado could love, the Storm won a wild one at Inland Empire as they held off the 66ers in the final two innings for the victory. The Storm have been going through some tough times losing 12 of their 14 games before winning the past two out of three....Huge day for DH Kyle Gaedele who had a good year in Lake Elsinore in 2013 before injuries cost him most of 2014....Donavan Tate also had one of his better days and played some centerfield for the first time this year...Yonder Alonso had his first rehab game along with C Ryan Miller who also returned after a six week layoff.
