Las Vegas 51s 9 - Chihuahuas 4
Prospect Watch:Las Vegas CF Alex Castellanos was a Chihuahua last season and he returned against his former teammates with a grand slam in the sixth inning to go along with his double earlier in the game as El Paso was blown out on the road...OF Rico Noel saw action at second base, his first since he was in college at Coastal Carolina...Melvin Upton, Jr. was 1-4.

Missions 5 - Northwest Arkansas 4 ten innings
Key Statistics:CF Travis Jankowski 2-5, 3 SB (20); LF Alberth Martiniez 1-2, 3 BB; DH/SS Trea Turner 1-3, BB; RF Yeison Asencio 3-4, 3 RBI; 3B Duanel Jones 1-4, HR (1), RBI, BB; 1B Luis Domoromo 2-4; RHP Bryan Rodriguez 6.0 IP 5 H 3 R 3 ER 2 BB 3 K; RHP Aaron Northcraft (W, 1-0) 1.0 IP.
Prospect Watch:Duanel Jones, who despite being a big time prospect signee by former Director of International Scouting Randy Smith, toiled for two years in Lake Elsinore never lifting his batting average above .235. This year with a new regime they decided to send him back to Low-A Fort Wayne to regain his confidence back where he hit .327/.382/.536 before being promoted at the end of May. San Diego then took another unusual step and had him skip High-A Lake Elsinore and sent him directly to Double-A San Antonio where tonight he homered in the tenth inning for the walk-off win. It was his second straight walk-off hit in two nights. In ten games Jones is hitting .300/.432/.433...Jankowski now has 20 stolen bases in 23 attempts and a .418 on-base percentage. He’s third in the league in batting average and on-base percentage and second in stolen bases...After an April where he posted an ERA of 8.38 in 19.1 innings and four starts, Bryan Rodriguez had a 1.45 ERA in 31 innings and five starts in May. He seems to have turned the corner.
Storm 7 - Inland Empire 66ers 4
Key Statistics:SS Jose Rondon 1-3, 2 BB; CF Auston Bousfield 1-2, 2 BB; 1B Marcus Davis 3-5, 2 RBI; 3B Gabriel Quintana 2-4, HR (7), 2 RBI; 2B River Stevens 2-4, RBI, SB; RHP Ronald Herrera (W, 4-5) 7.0 IP 5 H 4 R 4 ER 3 BB 4 K HR; RHP Eric Yardley (S, 11) 1.0 IP K.
Prospect Watch:After going through a brutal stretch in May, the Storm have seen some of their players return from injuries and are starting to round back into form. Top of the order hitters Rondon and Bousfield were on six times tonight and scored five times...1B Marcus Davis had three hits tonight and has been up and down this season. Last year he was one of the best hitters in the Northwest League at .322 and he might be starting to get comfortable...Yardley in 11 for 13 in save opportunities and has a 2.22 ERA in 24.1 innings with a 21/4 strikeout-to-base-on-balls ratio.

Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 4 - TinCaps 2
Key Statistics:1B Trae Santos 2-4; CF Edwin Moreno 2-3, BB; C Miguel Del Castillo 1-4, 2B, RBI; RF Franmil Reyes 0-2, 2 BB; LHP Thomas Dorminy (L, 5-4) 6.0 IP 8 H 4 R 3 ER BB 6 K 2 HR; RHP Jimmy Brasoban 2.0 IP H 2 K.
Prospect Watch:Dorminy had a tough first inning where he gave up a two-run home run and then compounded his problems with a fielding error that eventually brought in another run. He rallied and was able to go six innings, he leads the TinCaps’ starters with 58 innings, but it just wasn’t enough today as Fort Wayne could only manage five hits and only one for extra-bases....1B Trae Santos is in much better shape than he was last year. After hitting .176 in April he has hit .296 since May 1....SS Ruddy Giron had a rare hitless night going 0-3 with a walk and was caught stealing.
