McElroy has played most of the year with San Antonio and was promoted to El Paso before the game …Rocky Gale has been forced to play in the infield the last two games, due to a shortage of position players for El Paso. Gale started at second base and moved to third when Jedd Gyorko was removed, due to a promotion to the big club. Gale had a pair of singles to raise his average to .305. According to Chihuahuas’ broadcaster Tim Hagerty, Gale hadn’t played second base since high school. It remains to be seen if Gale will continue to log innings in the infield.
