Prospect Watch: The Chihuahuas scored three in the bottom of the ninth to still a victory … SS Benji Gonzalez had the walk-off hit, in addition to a pair of doubles. Gonzalez had a solid year last season in Lake Elsinore, but he has missed of this season with an injury. Gonzalez can play all around the infield, and has played the last two nights at shortstop for El Paso. Gonzalez has played for the AZL Padres, Lake Elsinore, San Antonio and El Paso this season … LF Jake Goebbert had one of his better games of the year, hitting his fourth dinger of the year. Goebbert hasn’t hit for much power, as the former Northwestern Wildcat is slugging just .393. However, Goebbert does have a good eye at the plate, as evidenced by his .378 OBP.

Missions 4 – Springfield Cardinals 1
Key Statistics: 2B Taylor Lindsey, 1-for-5, HR (2), RBI; RF Hunter Renfroe, 2-for-5; LF Yeison Asencio, HR(6), RBI; C Aldolfo Reina, 2-for-4; 1B Luis Domoromo, 3-for-4, 3B; RHP Bryan Rodriguez (W, 4-9); RHP Michael Dimock, (S, 3) IP, BB, K.
Prospect Watch: The Missions started off the second half with a win, pounding out 12 hits … First baseman Luis Domoromo had a season-high three hits, including a triple. Domoromo has struggled immensely for the Missions this year, after flashing some power last year in Lake Elsinore. This season, the 23-year-old Venezuelan is hitting just .216/.248/.256, without a homer. Domoromo was signed for $1.25 million way back in 2008 … RHP Bryan Rodriguez turned in a solid start, pitching six solid innings in the win. Rodriguez struggled a bit in June, with a 5.70 ERA over 23.2 innings. Rodriguez doesn’t throw particularly hard, but has been solid this season, after a brutal April.

Storm 4 – Visalia Rawhide 1
Prospect Watch: The Storm scored all four of their runs in the seventh to pull away for the victory … RHP Kyle Lloyd pitched well, allowing just one run in seven innings on the mound. Lloyd, when on, has a devastating splitter that contributes to a ton of strikeouts. Lloyd notched eight strikeouts on the evening. Lloyd struggled in June, pitching to a 6.66 ERA, but the former 29th round pick is still one of the most promising arms in the organization.
TinCaps 6 – Dayton Dragons 2
Key Statistics: CF Michael Gettys, 2-for-4, 2B, 3RS, BB; Nick Torres, 3-for-5, 2B, 4RBI; 3B Luis Tejada, 2-for-3, RS, BB; C Jose Ruiz, 2-for-4, 2B, RBI; 2B Mitch Morales, 2-for-4, RS; RHP Chad Huffman, 5IP, 2ER, BB, 3K.RHP Jimmy Brosoban, (W, 2-0) 2IP, H.
Prospect Watch: The TinCaps scored four in the ninth to earn the road victory … Nick Torres continued his amazing season, with three hits and four RBI in the win. Torres hit his 26th double, and 40 doubles is within reach by season’s end. The 2014 4th rounder is hitting a robust .333/.384/.470, with two homers and 36 RBI. Torres could be in line for a promotion to Lake Elsinore very soon. Roster move: The TinCaps sent LHP Brad Wieck and RHP Bryan Verbitsky to Lake Elsinore. LHP Taylor Cox was transferred from Tri-City to take a place on the Fort Wayne roster. The club currently has 24 players. Wieck, 23, pitched in two games for Fort Wayne, going 2-0, with a 2.61 ERA. Wieck was acquired by the Padres to complete the Alex Torres deal. Verbitsky, 23, appeared in 23 games for the TinCaps, and pitched to a 2.55 ERA out of the pen. Verbitsky was the Padres’ 3rd round pick in 2013.

Everett AquaSox 8 – Dust Devils 3
Prospect Watch: RHP Brett Kennedy started for Tri-City and looked dominant. Kennedy, 20, pitched three hitless innings, allowing just a walk to go with six punchouts. Kennedy was drafted in the 11th round in 2015, out of Fordham University. Kennedy has thoroughly dominated the Northwest League, albeit in a very small sample size. Kennedy has allowed a single hit in seven innings with three walks and 12 strikeouts, without allowing a run.

AZL Royals 10 – AZL Padres 8
Key Statistics: : SS Diego Goris, 1-for-4, RS, 3RBI; 3B-SS Kodie Tidwell, 3-for-4, 2RS, 3RBI; RHP Adrian De Horta, (L, 0-1) 1.1IP 4H, 6ER, 3BB, 2K.
Prospect Watch: Infielder Kodie Tidwell had a big game, with three hits and three RBI. Tidwell was drafted in the 26th round in June. Tidwell, 20, is off to a good start in the AZL, hitting .353/.421/.412, with a pair of doubles In 34 at-bats … RHP Adrian De Horta took the loss, allowing six earned runs in just 1.1 innings. De Horta, 20, was drafted in the 8th round in 2013, out of high school. Command has eluded De Horta in his career, and that hasn’t changed in his second stint in the Arizona League. De Horta has walked seven batters in 6.2 innings this season.
