Prospect Watch The Chihuahuas were shut down by twenty-six year old Dan Straily who tossed six strong innings. The only Chihuahua to figure him out was Liriano who has been on a hot streak since the promotion to Triple-A of fellow top prospect Hunter Renfroe (who went 0-4). Over the last month Liriano is hitting nearly .400 with an OPS of .950. In fact since the All-Star Break Liriano is hitting .313/.392/.525. Lirirano leads the organization in runs scored with 85…a really rough outing for reliever Tayron Guerrero, a third of an inning with three earned runs and three walks…El Paso also had two errors in the game, one by Renfroe and the other by SS Ramiro Pena...Chris Smith goes tomorrow for El Paso

West Michigan Whitecaps 5 - TinCaps 2
Prospect Watch The TinCaps have been nearly impossible to beat at home in the second half, and they will need to win the next two games to take the series. Lamet struggled with location throughout the game before finally giving way to the pen. He threw 105 innings in the regular season and didn't go over three innings in his last three starts. He may be running out of gas…Trae Santos already finished in the Top 10 in the Midwest League home runs with 14 and had an All-Star level second half going .270/.372/.464. Surprisingly Santos is hitting a strong .283/.377/.466 against right-handed pitching but only .188/.281/.412 against southpaws…SS Ruddy Giron was 0-4 tonight. He hit .385 in the first half and .233 in the second.. Ernesto Montas goes tomorrow.
