Fresno Grizzlies 7 - Chihuahuas 4
Prospect Watch:The Chihuahuas season came to an end on Saturday night as Fresno, the affiliate of the prospect laden Houston Astros, tooke the series three games to one....Casey Kelly got the start and simply caught too much of the plate too much of the time. In three starts in Triple-A he had a 6.75 ERA....All of El Paso’s runs came on Hunter Renfroe home runs. A solo shot to center in the sixth and a three-run one to left in the eighth. Renfroe hit nine home runs in 25 games with El Paso and he is certainly making a case to be in San Diego in 2016...Have to wonder if this is the last game in the Padres’ organization for 1B Cody Decker, OF Jake Goebbert, RHP Jerry Sullivan and RHP Dale Thayer. All four can become free agents and if they are not protected by San Diego all should have multiple options with other organizations.
