Casey Baker leaves the Wizards with a .248 batting average in 29 games. Baker has seven doubles and nine runs batted in. He made nine starts at second base, two at third base and 17 starts in the outfield.
Baker spent a few days on the disabled list earlier this month and over his last five games was 7-for-19.
Ernesto Garay signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Padres in January of 2001. He spent two years in the Padres Dominican Summer League camp and appeared in 112 games, hitting .234 (85-for-363) with eight doubles, four triples and 22 stolen bases. Garay drove in 29 runs and walked 53 times.
Garay spent the 2003 season with the Idaho Falls Padres of the Pioneer League. He hit .263 in 46 games with four doubles, three triples, one home run and 13 RBI.
