Brian Burgamy, who spent the 2003 season in Fort Wayne, will return and the previously reported Chris Tierney was demoted.
Burgamy appeared in 15 games for the Storm this season, hitting .205 with six runs batted in and scoring five runs. He spent time as a left fielder, second baseman and third baseman for Lake Elsinore and had a season high four game hitting streak. Burgamy hit .222 in 130 games with four home runs, 17 stolen bases and 35 RBI for Fort Wayne.
Peeter Ramos, one of seven Midwest League All-Stars for Fort Wayne, led the team with 20 stolen bases while hitting .296 with three home runs and 31 RBI. He appeared in 61 games as the starting second baseman. At one point, Ramos had an eight game hitting streak, going 17-for-46 over the streak.
Jared Wells, also a Midwest League All-Star, was 4-6 with a 4.09 ERA and a staff-best 14 starts. In 81 1/3 innings, he had 72 strikeouts and issued only 19 walks.
The Wizards current roster now has 23 players with two additional players to be added by the San Diego Padres at a later date.
