Brian Burgamy was sent to the Wizards from the Storm in late June. He appeared in 16 games for Fort Wayne during his short stint with the Wizards.
Burgamy hit .205 while playing for the Storm earlier this year. He had nine hits in 44 at bats with six RBI's.
Burgamy's promotion comes on the heels of the Wizards roster moves on Saturday when infielder Peter Ciofrone and right-hander Matt Varner were both added to the club to reach the maximum roster size of 25.
Burgamy hit .233 with seven doubles and four runs batted in. He walked seven times and stole three bases for Fort Wayne. Over the past seven games Burgamy was 9-for-24 with four doubles and two RBI's. He has committed three errors over his last four games and has grounded into four double plays over his last seven.
The Wizards roster now has 24 active players, one short of the maximum 25 allowed.
