Paul McAnulty also leads the Storm in hits (144), runs (96), doubles (35), slugging percentage (.525), on-base percentage (.403), multi-hit games (43) and games played (130).
The Oxnard, CA native ranks among California League leaders in several offensive categories, including ranking second in homers and walks and third in runs, extra-base hits, and on-base percentage. His .525 slugging percentage ranks fourth in the league, and his 35 doubles and 84 RBI are good for sixth and seventh, respectively.
As a member of the Ft. Wayne Wizards in 2003, McAnulty hit .273 with 27 doubles, seven home runs and 73 RBI while leading his team in hits, doubles, RBI and total bases.
McAnulty becomes the sixth Storm player to be named to the Cal League's post-season All-Star team in the team's four-year affiliation with the San Diego Padres. He joins former Storm and current Padres minor leaguers Josh Barfield ('03), JJ Furmaniak ('03), Jake Gautreau ('02), Xavier Nady ('01) and Dennis Tankersley ('01) in receiving the honor. McAnulty was selected by San Diego in the 12th round of the 2002 draft.
