The BayBears all-time saves leader, Brad Baker, received another award this week to further solidify his spectacular season.
Baker was selected to Baseball America's Minor League All-Star Team. The staff at Baseball America selected the All-Star team at the conclusion of the Minor League season.
Baker was the only relief pitcher and the only member of the Padres minor league system selected for this team. The All-Star team is selected from all of minor league baseball, regardless of the level.
Baker was 2-1 with 30 saves for the BayBears in 2003. He was 1-0 with four saves in eight games with AAA Portland. Brad was also chosen as the Southern League's "Pitcher of the Year" and selected to the Southern League's mid season and full season all-star teams.
