Promotions continue in Padres' system

The San Diego Padres have made a couple of more moves within the system on Monday. Clayton Hamilton and Ryan Klatt were promoted from Fort Wayne to Lake Elsinore and Cesar Ramos and Brandon Kintzler will move up the chain from Eugene.

After posting a 9-6 record with a team leading 2.88 ERA, Clayton Hamilton has been promoted to Lake Elsinore from Fort Wayne. Hamilton has allowed two runs or less in 12 of his 20 outings this year.

Ryan Klatt, returning from Tommy John sugery performed last June, has gone 0-2 with one save and a 2.87 ERA for the Wizards. He has gone seven straight relief appearances without allowing an earned run. Klatt will join Hamilton with Lake Elsinore.

First round sandwich pick Cesar Ramos is headed to Fort Wayne from the Eugene Emeralds. Ramos is 0-1 with a 6.53 ERA in six starts. The opposition is hitting .303 off him on the year.

Brandon Kintzler began the year with Peoria before being sent up to Eugene and is now on his way to Fort Wayne. Kintzler made six appearances with Eugene over the last two years and did not surrender a run in Northwest League play.
