Full season Power Rankings VIII

After a short hiatus, MadFriars.com Prospect Power Rankings are back with plenty of action since we last spoke. This is for full-season only with short-season getting their own set of rankings set to debut this week.

1) Nick Hundley – C – Fort Wayne

No one is hotter than Nick Hundley who came into Sunday's game with a 12-game hitting streak – hitting all seven of his homers with a .390 average. Last Week: NR

2) Peter Ciofrone – OF – Lake Elsinore

Smoking hot with a .447 average in 11 June games. Has 12 RBI's over that span and a .553 on base percentage. Also hitting .409 with runners in scoring position.Last Week: NR

3) Paul McAnulty – 3B/OF/1B - Portland

A .364 average during the month of June and hitting extremely well when he plays third base, rattling off a .407 average at a position he is least familiar with. Last Week: NR

4) Nic Crosta – OF – Lake Elsinore

A promotion to the California League has not slowed him down by much. He is .297 in his first taste of High-A with ten RBI's and eight extra base hits in 15 games. Last Week: 1

5) Mike Ekstrom – SP - Mobile

Closed out his Storm tenure with two earned runs over his last four starts, spanning 28.1 innings. Took the loss in his first Mobile start but gave up just one earned over six. Last Week: NR

6) Luis Cruz – 2B - Mobile

Hitting .329 in June with five multi-hit games in his last six games. A representative of the Padres in the Futures Game he is leading the team in RBI's with 12 more than the closest competitor.Last Week: NR

7) Manny Ayala – RP – Lake Elsinore

Considered a lock for short-season ball during spring training, Ayala has competed at every level, settling in nicely with the Storm. In ten games of Cal League play, spanning 20.1 innings, he has a 1.77 ERA and .174 average against. Last Week: OTB

8) Neil Jamison – CL – Lake Elsinore

Six straight without a run allowed and just six appearances all year where a run has crossed the plate. Righties are hitting .097 off him with seven hits in 72 at bats.Last Week: OTB

9) Will Venable – OF – Fort Wayne

Steady outfielder who has hits in 15 of his last 19 games. He is hitting .335 off right-handed pitching and his 11 steals are tied for tops on the team. Last Week: 7

10) John Madden - CL – Fort Wayne

Despite a 4.05 ERA this month, he still limited the opposition to four hits in 24 at bats and has a 1.82 ERA this season. Has given up an earned run in three of 23 appearances. Last Week: 3

Luke Carlin (Portland) has a .441 OBP.

Steve Delabar (FW) has thrown shutout ball in four of his last six starts.

Cla Meredith (Portland) has a 1.53 ERA with runs allowed in five of 21 appearances.

Kyle Stutes (LE) has a .184 average against and a 0.74 WHIP.

Dale Thayer (Mob) hasn't allowed a run in eight straight.
