Huffman named Player of the Week

Eugene Emeralds Outfielder Chad Huffman was named Offensive Player of the Week in the Northwest League for games ending the week of August 20.

Over his current 12-game hitting streak, Chad Huffman has seen his average rise from .290 to .345 on the strength of seven multi-hit games. He ranks third in the Northwest League in average and colllected three hits on both Friday and Saturday.

Huffman is now batting a scorching .415 in the month of August. Huffman ranks second in the league in both on-base percentage (.441) and slugging percentage (.552).

He went 13-for-22 during the week, a .591 average, with three runs scored, three doubles, one homer, five RBI;s and three walks to go along with a .864 slugging percentage.

He has three straight multi-hit games and six in his last seven.
