Wizards Capture Third Promotional Award

Fort Wayne, IN – For the third time in four years, the Wizards claimed the Midwest League's Larry MacPhail Promotional Trophy, officials with the Midwest League announced today.

The Wizards claimed the Midwest League's promotional award following the 2003 and 2004 seasons.

"This is something that our entire staff should be proud of," Wizards General Manager Mike Nutter said. "Our staff does an outstanding job in creating an atmosphere at the ballpark each season that families can enjoy."

Combining the efforts of an exciting on-field promotional schedule, along with the annual Boy Scout Overnight, Girl Scout Overnight and Christian Concert, featuring Building 429 in 2006, the Wizards were able to maintain a fun, family entertainment package at Memorial Stadium.

The Larry MacPhail Promotion Trophy is awarded annually to the Midwest League team that has done the best job in promotions and marketing the past season.
