Andrew Brown happy to be throwing well

Portland, OR-- The Portland pitching staff has reversed its fortunes of late, shutting the opposition out in three of the last six games. Right-hander Andrew Brown and Portland pitching coach Gary Lance talked about the recent success.

Andrew Brown has been the rock in the bullpen after a shaky spring training. In 16.1 innings, the right-hander has allowed just eight hits and he has not allowed an earned run over his last 14,2 innings.

Brown talked about the success of the pitching staff over the last two weeks, how the bullpen has evolved from front to back, and his own personal success.

Brown also touched upon his idol growing up and what he is feeling about all the movement within the organization:

Gary Lance talked about the pitching staff taking on his teachings and showing improvement since the early struggles. He was especially happy with the work of Jared Wells, snapping a seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Also, the team gained left-hander Kyle Stutes from High-A Lake Elsinore to fill out the roster.
