LeBlanc, Ramos earn POW honors

Wade LeBlanc and Cesar Ramos earned Pitcher of the Week honors for the California League and Texas League, respectively.

Texas League:

Cesar Ramos went 2-0 with a 1.20 ERA over two games from April 30 to May 6. In 15 innings, the lefty allowed 10 hits, two runs and struck out nine.

Ramos went up against Midland on Monday and became the first Texas League pitcher to throw a nine-inning shutout this season.

The 22-year-old southpaw scattered three hits and a walk while striking out six as the Missions coasted to a 4-0 win. He wasn't quite as dominant against Corpus Christi on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits over six innings, but still collected his second straight win.

California League:

Wade LeBlanc did not allow a run over his two starts, giving up just three hits in 12 innings, walking two and striking out 14 to go 2-0.

Leblanc le-blanked Stockton over two near-identical starts this week. On Sunday, the 22-year-old left-hander surrendered two hits over six shutout innings while striking out four.

He was even more dominant Saturday, allowing just one hit over six scoreless frames while whiffing a season-high 10 batters. Needless to say, Leblanc won both starts.
