Report: Padres to recall Paul McAnulty

The San Diego Padres plan to recall Paul McAnulty from Triple-A Portland on Saturday, according to Tom Krasovic of the Union Tribune.

Paul McAnulty, who is 1-for-8 with the Padres this season and has hit .200 over his major league career with one homer and three RBIs, will make his way back to San Diego to replace outfielder Brian Giles who is headed to the disabled list.

In 32 games with Portland, McAnulty has batted .277 with a .360 on base percentage. He has collected seven doubles, two home runs and 15 RBIs.

Giles is hitting .276 with one homer and 12 RBIs across 42 games with the Padres.
